Ridge & Root Soap Co. was founded by Darlene Kreyer, a Tennessee artisan with a passion for pure, natural ingredients and a genuine belief that what you put on your skin matters just as much as what you put in your body.

A Tennessee-based stay-at-home mother with a background in design, Darlene's journey into soap making started as a creative pursuit — a way to channel her love of design into something tangible and purposeful — and grew into a full-fledged business rooted in wellness and care.

She is committed to producing handcrafted soaps that are both aesthetically refined and truly beneficial. With careful attention to every ingredient, every batch, and every bar, her goal is simple: products that make everyday routines feel a little more intentional. No fillers, no shortcuts, no compromises.

Every Ridge & Root product is tested at home — on real people with real skin — before it ever reaches a customer. That includes a quality standard that only Darlene could dream up: the infamous Lick Test. If it doesn't pass muster there, it doesn't ship. Period.
